Evon is a native South Carolinian. She received a Bachelors of Art with honors from the University of South Carolina. After taking time off from the business world to be at home with her two sons, she returned to work in the design field, acquiring experience in construction management and interior design. She worked for several years before opening her own firm. Evon Kirkland Interiors was founded in 1993. It is a full service design firm offering extensive consultation for both new construction and renovations. Evon is married to Hugh McAngus and they reside in Chapin on Lake Murray. The lake provides the perfect home for their blended family, which includes six children. Although all six are in college, they spend much of their free time with family activities on the lake. Evon and Hugh enjoy traveling as often as their bus schedule permit, where is always looking for antiques, as well as new and exiting design ideas.

Capital Construction, LLC makes its debut in this year’s Parade of
Homes at Quail Ridge. Roy Hurley has been involved in construction
and management of various degrees for the past 20 years, varying from
electrical contracting, deck construction, cabinetry, remodeling and
home building. Slow and steady growth has provided Roy with the experience
to create a business that is capable of competing in many markets,
including a firm footing in the remodeling industry.
Providing customer satisfaction has always been a high priority. Capital
Construction’s clientele base has formed many friendships, as well
as business relations. Roy is a licensed general contractor and is
currently working on a commercial development in Lexington, along
with a previous customer.
Capital Construction, LLC was formed in 1998 and has since built many
executive homes in the Kenwood Subdivision in Lexington, as well as
Lake Murray and the surrounding areas. Specializing in brick construction
in the 3,000 square foot range, Capital Construction, LLC has provided
many quality homes of various styles.
Roy is married to his wife Elizabeth of 18 years and together they
have three children, Ryan Dylan and Elissa. He enjoys woodworking,
music, reading and is an avid sports fan.

the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and the Batesburg-Leesville Chamber
